Alyse Ferguson
Alyse Ferguson has a worldly legal knowledge influenced by several different experiences but truly focused on offering individuals a second chance. Among her many roles before becoming partner at Stuckle & Ferguson, Alyse spent time as a police officer for the state of Texas. Her time in law enforcement included working as a probation officer for the Collin County SCORE program as well as the Collin County Restitution Center and finally as supervisor for the Tom Green County CHAPS Program.
Before beginner her career as a criminal defense attorney in 2006, Alyse gained understanding of the mental health field when she spent 7 years with MHMR (Mental Health Mental Retardation), working in residential services and then as case manger. During her time with MHMR, Alyse also helped with suicide intervention, responding to suicide calls and communicating with patients, guiding them towards making positive mental health commitments. Ultimately, she became Director of Home and Community Services of the Concho Valley.
After realizing her true calling in criminal defense, Alyse dedicated herself towards defending individuals accused of crimes in the state of Texas. She attended Texas Wesleyan School of Law and graduated with a Juris Doctor (J.D) in 2005. While in law school ,she worked in a drug rehabilitation program conducting classes on communication, problem solving and relationships. She also taught classes in the Texas Drug Offender Program and Texas Alcohol Education Program and certified by the Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse. Her classes were offered to the public but were designed for accused offenders required to take the course as a condition of probation.
Now, Alyse fiercely defends the rights of men and women who are accused of criminal offenses with a focus on sexual abuse cases involving children. With a combination of knowledge and experience in criminal justice, law enforcement and counseling, Alyse brings a unique perspective to the criminal defense team at Stuckle & Ferguson. Her dynamic experience guiding individuals with criminal pasts towards healthier lifestyles gives her a comprehensive understanding concerning those accused of crimes such as domestic violence, sex offenses, assault and other criminal charges. She holds all cases with the utmost seriousness and determination in order to reprieve the charges against her clients and give individuals the opportunity to move past the difficulties often associated with these potentially harmful allegations.
In her spare time, Alyse continues to help others. She volunteers with the Blue Star Mothers of America, a group dedicated to providing care packages to military members overseas and helping families who have encountered hardships as a result of their child or husband serving in the war. Alyse also enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
